Lead Retrieval


The IIAR lead retrieval system works through QR Code Technology on a personal handheld device through the IIAR app. In order to login in to the IIAR app, you must use your IIAR username and password. These are the very same credentials that you use to login to the IIAR website. If you do not know your username and password or have never created one, please send an email to [email protected]. You can also use the forgot username and password links on the sign-in page of the IIAR website.

You do not have to be a member to use this technology, although you must be registered as a conference attendee – the app itself will identify you as an exhibitor and will allow you to use the system as such. If you are unable to use the system, please send an email to [email protected] or visit the registration desk onsite at the IIAR Conference.

As an exhibitor all you will need to do is log onto the app, go to the events list, select the event and then you will you be directed to the dashboard. You will then select the Scan QR Code option. Once you scan the code, you will have an optional text popup for notes. Your leads are then saved within the app.

Directions for Lead Retrieval use

Scanning Leads

  1. Go to the Event Dashboard and tap on QR Code Scanner. 
  2. The first opening of the QR Code Scanner tool, your device will ask you to give the app permission to use your device’s camera. Tap Yes. Tap the Scan Code button.
  3. Hold your device 6-12 inches from the attendee’s badge and scan his or her QR code by trying to place the image in the camera square. The app is very sensitive so it should recognize a QR code as soon as you are relatively close.
  4. You have the ability to add a note about this lead in the Add Notes (Optional) field. This field is optional.
  5. Tap Submit once you are done and the lead will save to your account. 

Note: if you scan a lead while your device does not have internet connection, the lead will be saved on your device and not in the Lead Retrieval system.  If this happens, a Sync button will display at the bottom of the ‘Scan QR Code’ screen. Tap the Sync button once you have regained connection to send those leads to the system.

Receiving Leads

You will be able to pull your leads at any time during the day through the event app so that you can make updates and collect notes.  Also, at the end of each night, an email will be sent to the email on file for your event registration with all the leads you scanned for the day. At the end of the event, a cumulative list of all leads you scanned for the event will also be sent to the email on file for your event registration.
