COURSE PURPOSE
OSHA’s Process Safety Management (PSM) and EPA's Hazard Prevention Element of the Risk Management Plan (RMP) require employers to issue a permit for hot work operations conducted on or near a covered process.
A hot work permit is intended to ensure no fire hazards are developed during hot work operations and that personnel, property, and the environment are protected.
This webinar will examine the importance of hot work permits and review the regulatory requirements and application criteria for their use, key risks involved, pre-permit measures, required precautions, and additional guidance on safely performing hot work tasks.

- Understand the key risks involved with hot work permit activities, pre-permit measures to be taken, and the precautions required to mitigate those risks.
