COURSE PURPOSE
Lockout/tagout procedures are developed to help ensure the “control of hazardous energy” during servicing and/or maintenance of machines and equipment where the employee(s) may be exposed to unexpected energization, startup, or release of stored energy.
This webinar will examine the importance of lockout/tagout procedures as a crucial “safe work practice,” review the regulatory requirements overseeing development and execution of lockout/tagout procedures, and cover application criteria for their use.
We’ll examine relevant definitions, communication, periodic inspections, training, retraining, certification, and additional requirements for lockout/tagout compliance.
