Call For Commercial Technical Papers
Commercial and Food Retail Refrigeration Track - Become active in the natural refrigeration industry by presenting a Technical Paper or Workshop Program at the 2020 IIAR Natural Refrigeration Conference & Heavy Equipment Expo in Orlando, Florida March 15th-18th.
Technical Paper Guidelines

Technical papers should explore technical or regulatory topics that are substantiated by original research and development with documented references.  Case studies should describe actual situations where actions, testing, or data accumulation are used to prove or demonstrate the outcome of applied methods, and could be reasonably applied to other similar situations. Promotion of products or companies (commercialism) is prohibited.  The IIAR recognizes that new technologies are often offered by only one or a few companies. In these cases, it might be obvious that a method or technology is unique to a company. However, authors must strive to describe the method or technology based on a neutral analysis.

Why You Should Present

IIAR Technical Papers are peer reviewed technical documents which are professionally edited, published and distributed to IIAR Conference attendees at the show in which they are presented.  After they are published IIAR Technical Papers are made available through the IIAR eLibrary as a industry technical resource.  IIAR offers one complimentary conference registration per technical paper to the primary author. The primary author of the highest rated technical paper presentation during the conference will receive the IIAR Award for Presentation Excellence.

Authors work as part of a team that includes IIAR staff, peer reviewers, professional editors, and layout and printing specialists. An important element of your commitment to authoring a technical paper is providing your draft and graphics in forms and styles that require the least amount of modification in preparation for printing the proceedings. It is also important that each author meet the deadline and for each draft. Your cooperation in meeting the draft deadlines using the guidelines, is crucial for your paper to appear in the conference proceedings.

If you have any questions or need further information you may contact Eric Smith, IIAR Vice President and Technical Director at [email protected].

Note:  Presentations are meant to be non-commercial in nature.  In their essence, they are meant to be developed as technical resources to be used by the natural refrigeration industry as references to substantiated research and development of original topics.  If you would like to promote products or services at the IIAR conference, you may do so by either a) sponsoring b) exhibiting or c) presenting a Technomercial/product services showcase.  Technomercial presentations are only available to IIAR exhibitors. If you have any questions regarding these opportunities please contact Eileen McKeown at [email protected]

Workshop Presentations:  Technical papers presentations are the preferred method of technical content delivery for the IIAR annual conference, however, IIAR does provide the opportunity to present a workshop as well.  Workshops are presentations that do not include a peer reviewed technical paper.  Often, workshops are developed when a technical paper submission does not meet the criteria to become a technical paper presentation. When a technical paper submission does not meet technical paper criteria requested, IIAR will either ask the presenter to resubmit for the next year's meeting or to develop the content into a workshop.  Workshops are not eligible for the IIAR Award for Presentation Excellence.  If you would prefer to produce a workshop instead of a technical paper presentation, please use the submission process above and note that you would like to be considered for a workshop presentation instead.
