COURSE PURPOSE

The purpose of this webinar is to examine how to execute a successful visual inspection under the IIAR 6 Standard - and when, how, and why to take it a step further.

With the publication of the IIAR 6 Standard, which addresses visual inspections, as well as testing and maintenance, new guidelines are in place that affect how to assess your system moving forward.

Previously supported by the 109 & 110 bulletins, visual inspections have been the elementary means of assessing refrigeration systems for decades. Visual inspections are an excellent tool for proving stable and suspect areas – on what can be seen. However, over the years we have learned the benefits and shortcomings of this practice.

Therefore, we will explore the characteristics of a well-performed inspection, demonstrate its value, identify limitations, and provide recommendations on how to incorporate the Standard as it relates to visual inspection into your program.
